Inverse osmosis is the safest and most widely used water purification system used worldwide. It makes it possible to eliminate polluting particles of infinitely small dimensions, to guarantee the purity of water. This is possible due to the osmotic membrane that constitutes the heart of the system, because it is able to filter water down to molecular sizes, to obtain optimal bacteriological and organoleptic purity.

As the name suggests, inverse osmosis is the opposite of the procedure that usually takes place in nature. The procedure is performed thanks to a force (water supply pressure) that pushes the water of the more concentrated, “polluted” solution through the semi-permeable osmotic membrane to produce pure water. This procedure eliminates 99.99% of all organic substances and over 90% of inorganic substances.

The PURA filtration system is an extremely compact inverse osmosis appliance, designed to be connected directly to the autoclave, to guarantee a continuous supply of pure water. The system can be installed in a vast range of situations, thus facilitating assembly and storage even in confined spaces. PURA is fitted with an osmotic membrane and a series of cartridge filters, the average duration of which varies from 600 and 800 litres, depending on the original hardness of the water. Cartridges need to be replaced once a year or every 800 cycles. Filter change is easy and can be performed by users. The affordable cost of the filters entails a low cost/litre. When not producing water, the PURA system is not pressurised, which avoids problems in the event of accidental pipe or hose breakage.
